Habitat for Humanity of Charlotte was founded in 1983 and has remained a top Habitat for Humanity affiliate since its establishment and has made a significant impact in Charlotte since its founding by bringing people together to build homes, communities, and hope.
TelWare Corporation assisted Habitat for Humanity of Charlotte by recommending the best technology for their operation. Our approach included bringing service, support and expertise to the organization. As a result, TelWare ultimately became the organization’s telephone service provider.
TelWare was one of several telecoms considered to replace Habitat Charlotte’s aging system. The non-profit’s existing phones were manufactured in the mid-1990s and installed in 2006 when Habitat moved into their Latrobe Drive offices.
TelWare’s knowledgeable approach included a comprehensive evaluation of their current system to identify the best solution to their needs. The assessment resulted in finding a solution that required upgrading Habitat for Humanity’s outdated phone system to the latest OneCloud technology; including recently acquired Cornelius, Mooresville and Statesville stores.
“We are excited about a long-term partnership with TelWare, as they come with glowing reviews from other companies who use them,” said Habitat Charlotte’s Controller Mike Masto. In addition to proposing the best technical solution, as well as a competitive price, TelWare provided a $2,500 in-kind contribution of equipment as part of their installation.
Habitat Charlotte’s ReStore on N. Wendover Road was also upgraded, addressing the growing need of the ReStore donation hotline. The inclusion of a new and modern phone system has provided Habitat for Humanity with new added features and functions that will remarkably improve how the organization operates and support their humanitarian efforts in the Charlotte region.
