An experienced applicant must be a self-driven problem solver able to work with a team or independently; and have a passion for learning more skills. IT and network engineers build and implement custom solutions for our customers, and work remotely from our office or in person at the customer site to resolve maintenance issues and make configuration changes. This is a multifaceted position that requires engineers to be part detective, part technical guide, part teacher and part project manager.


Assist with implementation and installation of IP telephone/Data systems and services and manage the ongoing maintenance of those systems

Maintains network performance by performing network monitoring and analysis, and troubleshooting network problems

Assist with Troubleshooting / Help Desk

System administration / programming

Works with DHCP, IP networking, SIP Trunking, and PBX telephony

Participate in Telephone/Data system design meetings; work with Telecom Engineering, end users and other internal and external groups to understand telephone requirements and meet deadlines

Assist with proposals and quotes for new systems

Coordinates the installation of voice circuits with telephony vendors

Performs other duties as assigned by management


Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field (equivalent work experience and/or knowledge may be acceptable in lieu of degree)

The ability to master new skills quickly and efficiently

The desire to learn and retain new information

The ability to communicate effectively (both verbally and in writing)

Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills

The ability to work as a team member, as well as independently



The ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment

Willingness to move to the Charlotte area if not currently residing

General IT/ Telecom knowledge

Must become certified on company provided tests/exams on IP and Telephony/Data systems
IP Telephone System, Data Switch and Router programming skills is desired.

Working knowledge of the following telephony technologies is desired but not required: IP PBX, VOIP, SIP, PRI/DS1/DS3, IVR

Must be willing to travel, occasionally overnight stays.
