TelWare Brews Own Blend of Telephone Solutions for S&D Coffee & Tea.

The crisp aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans wafts through the air along Highway 29 near downtown Concord, North Carolina, enticing passing drivers to awaken from their traffic induced tunnel-vision and scan beyond the road in search of the source of the nose tickling scent.

S&D Coffee & Tea, the nation’s largest custom coffee roaster and supplier of iced tea to the foodservice industry, has been producing custom solutions in the way of tasty hot beverages for their customers for years from their Concord based facilities. When the roasting giant recently outgrew its aging phone system, TelWare stepped in with a custom solution of its own to keep the tea party going.

BTOP Improves Public Safety in City of Charlotte

TelWare Corporation is proud of its role in the City of Charlotte's wireless network upgrade funded by the Broadband Technology Opportunities Program (BTOP). The project, which was completed ahead of schedule, upgrades the wireless network infrastructure of 14 Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police divisions, 42 Charlotte Fire stations, and 950 vehicles.

Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity of Charlotte, one of the largest and most influential affiliates of Habitat for Humanity International, selected TelWare Corporation to be the organization’s telephone service provider.

In 2015, TelWare was one of several telecoms considered to replace Habitat Charlotte’s aging system. The non-profit’s existing phones were manufactured in the mid-1990s and installed in 2006 when Habitat moved into their Latrobe Drive offices. The new TelWare system moved Habitat from outdated technology to the latest in VoIP technology.

I knew the sales team at TelWare Corporation was good - we always have a steady stream of new phone systems to install - but sometimes I've even been awestruck by a sale. I mean jaw on the floor! One instance comes to mind when one of our sales specialists sold a phone system to a customer, who was actually one guy, who needed one phone and one phone line. Whaaat?! Wouldn't a $9 phone from Walmart and a call to AT&T suffice? Someone has the "Salesperson of the Year" award wrapped up!

Now I find out that we just finished a multi-site installation that included a remote call center, but we didn't install any actual phones in the call center. No phones?! What do you mean there are no phones? How is a call center supposed to operate without any phones?

Drowning in Robocalls

We've all gotten a dreaded "robocall." A robocall is an unsolicited call dialed by a computer. When you pick up, you may hear a prerecorded message or be transferred to a live person to complete the sale.

North Point Motors, a Saab, Volvo and Subaru repair shop in Winston-Salem, was at their wit's end with robocalls. Because North Point Motors is a small family-owned shop, their time is valuable. Every time the phone rang, their employees had to stop what they are doing to take the call. Unfortunately, 15-20 times a day, those calls were solicitors....
